Tradavity's backtesting simulator is powered by TradingView's Advanced Charting Library, providing professional-grade interactive charts with a full suite of technical analysis tools.
Through our partnership with TradingView, our backtesting platform offers:

All market data displayed in Tradavity's backtesting simulator is hosted on our own servers. No user data is shared with TradingView. The charting library is used solely for visualization and technical analysis.

Broker Integrations
Tradavity connects to the platforms traders already use. Import your trade history via CSV from any supported broker, or use auto-sync with OAuth for a hands-free experience. Supported brokers and platforms include:
- NinjaTrader — CSV import with full execution data, including commission and fee breakdowns. Tradavity is a licensed NinjaTrader ecosystem vendor.
- Tradovate — OAuth auto-sync for automatic trade imports. Connect once, and new trades appear in your journal without manual CSV uploads.
- MetaTrader 4 & MetaTrader 5 — CSV import supporting both MT4 statement exports and MT5 history exports for forex and CFD traders.
- TradingView — CSV import from TradingView's paper trading and broker-connected accounts.
- Rithmic, TopStepX, TradeSea — CSV import with broker-specific field mapping for futures traders on prop firm evaluation platforms.
For brokers not listed above, Tradavity's custom import schema builder lets you map any CSV format to the journal's data structure. Define your own column mappings, date formats, and field transformations.
Infrastructure & Performance
Tradavity runs on dedicated European servers with data hosted in Germany. The platform is built on a PHP and MySQL stack, served through nginx with SSL encryption on all connections.

- All data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest
- Daily automated backups with point-in-time recovery
- Subdomain-isolated session cookies to prevent cross-site leakage
Privacy by Design
Trading data is sensitive. Tradavity is built with privacy as a default, not an afterthought:
- No user data is sold or shared with third parties
- Analytics use privacy-focused, EU-hosted PostHog with minimal data collection
- OAuth broker connections only request the minimum required permissions
- Users can export all their data at any time and request full account deletion
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) available for all accounts

Open Standards
Tradavity uses widely adopted standards and formats to ensure compatibility and portability:
- CSV as the universal trade import format — no proprietary lock-in
- UTC timestamps for all stored data, converted to user timezone on display
- OAuth 2.0 for secure broker authentication without sharing passwords
- Standard JSON APIs for internal communication between app components
